Learn how to use ProLine's built-in review request system to generate more referrals from past customers effectively.

ProLine offers a robust system to generate referrals from past customers through its built-in review request and referral request campaigns. The referral request campaign is designed to politely ask your past customers for referrals, maintaining a connection with them and encouraging them to recommend your services.

The Review Request campaign is the first step in the process. After completing a project, you can initiate this campaign to gather customer reviews, particularly on Google.

Step 1. Set Up Trigger for Referral Request Campaign

Triggering a Referral Request Campaign at the End of a Review Request Campaign

Ideally, you want to start a referral request campaign once a customer replies or leaves a review during your review request campaign. ProLine allows you to easy follow up on these customers by allowing you to immediately add these projects to a referral request campaign.

To do so, navigate to your review request campaign settings. For ProLine's built-in campaign, this is: hamburger menu (☰) > Company Settings > Campaigns > REVIEWS & REFERRALS > REVIEW REQUESTS > Edit Campaign.

At the end of the campaign's steps, change the first option to Change Campaign and then the respective referral request campaign. Enable the checkmark option and choose the respective referral request campaign.

Triggering a Referral Request Campaign Using Stage Triggers

Alternatively, you can start a referral request campaign using stage triggers instead of running a review request campaign.

To trigger a Referral Request Campaign using stage triggers in ProLine, click the gear icon on the stage where you want to set the trigger for the campaign. If a new trigger is needed, click on Add Trigger. Configure the trigger by selecting the appropriate conditions and choose the Referral Request Campaign you want to trigger when a contact enters this stage.

Step 2. Customizing Referral Request Messages

The referral request campaign can be tailored to ask for referrals based on the services you offer. This customization ensures that your requests are relevant and aligned with your business.

Step 3. Managing the Referral Drip Campaign

The referral drip campaign is set up to send periodic reminders to past customers, ensuring that you remain top-of-mind for future referrals. This low-pressure approach is effective in generating consistent referrals over time.

By default, the referral campaign will send messages to your customers 30 days after a successful review request campaign with subsequent steps every 6 months. You can change the time between referral requests to better suit your needs.
