How to customize the form

How to customize form fields in a Promolayer display — editing labels and placeholders, updating consent checkbox links, and adding custom fields like dropdowns.

Editing form fields

1. Click 'Form' under Contents

2. Click each field to edit it. You can drag and drop fields to reorder them, and toggle the switch to show or hide each field.

3. Change the label, placeholder text, and other settings as needed

4. Save

Changing the Terms of Service or Privacy Policy link in the checkbox

1. Click 'Form' under Contents

2. Click 'Checkbox'

3. In the 'Label' field, click the Privacy Policy (or Terms of Service) text to edit the link. See Adding a link to text for instructions.

4. Save

Using custom fields

There are two custom fields available: Custom (1) and Custom (2). You can use these to create any field you need.

Field types: Text, Number, Date, Select box, Checkbox

For example, to let users choose from five options:

1. Turn on Custom (1)

2. Click Custom (1) to open its settings and set the field type to 'Select box'

3. Configure the choices and labels. For a select box, each option has a 'Label' (what the user sees) and a 'Value' (what is submitted with the form). These can typically be the same.

4. Save
