Step-by-step diagnosis
Cause 1: Trigger delay setting
Most templates have a 10-second "Time on site" delay by default. You can adjust or remove this under:
Display editor > Rules > Time on site longer than
Cause 2: Site loading speed
If your trigger is already set to "Show immediately" but the popup still appears slow, the cause is your site's overall loading time. Promolayer uses async/defer loading — it intentionally loads after the rest of your page to avoid slowing down your site. If your site loads slowly, Promolayer will appear slow as a result.
