If your Promolayer popup is not appearing on your site, follow the steps below to identify and fix the cause.
Common causes
Wix cookie banner: The most common problem for Wix users is the Wix cookie banner blocking third-party scripts.
Frequency limit reached: If you have seen the popup before but it won't show again, a re-display rule may be suppressing it. Check the Rules section for frequency limits.
Promolayer not installed: The embed tag may be missing or incorrectly placed on your site.
Display rules not met: Page URL targeting, device type, schedule, or other conditions may be preventing the popup from triggering.
Steps
Step 1: Check installation using Preview
Click Preview
Enter a URL where the popup should display
Select Ignore rules
Click Launch preview
If preview did not show
Promolayer is not correctly installed on your site.
The Promolayer code (tag) is not placed on your site pages
⇒ Please check whether the code has been installed, and if you are using a tag manager, please check its configuration.Code from a different workspace has been installed
⇒ Please re-obtain and install the code for the correct workspace.
You can get the Promolayer code (tag) from the person icon in the top right of the admin dashboard ⇒ Install Code.
If preview works but the popup is not visible on your live site
Check the orange debug window in the preview. It lists each reason the popup is being suppressed on your live site.
Each warning in the debug window corresponds to a specific setting in Promolayer. Adjust the settings listed in your warning box to allow the popup to display.
