How to Show a Popup When a User Scrolls Up (Scroll Up Trigger)

A guide to configuring a popup to display when a user scrolls up on a page.

The "Display on scroll up" trigger displays a popup when a visitor scrolls upward on a page. It is well-suited for capturing the attention of users who have finished reading the content and are scrolling back up, and can be used for purposes such as cart abandonment prevention.

Requirements

The "Display on scroll up" trigger is available on the Plus plan.


Steps

  1. Open the Display settings and navigate to the Rules section.

  2. Under Display Timing (Trigger), enable the toggle for "Display on scroll up."

  3. Once enabled, the popup will appear each time a visitor scrolls upward on the page.


Use cases

  • Offer for page readers: Display a special offer or discount when a user scrolls back up after finishing the content.

  • Email newsletter sign-up: Collect email addresses from users who have shown interest in your content.

  • Survey collection: Gather feedback from users who have finished viewing the page content.
