Welcome to the Proofig AI Review Page. This page allows you to review the detected suspected issues in your manuscript. This guide will walk you through the key features and how to navigate the review process.

At the top of the screen, you'll find three important buttons:

This button lets you navigate to the previous suspected issue.

The 'Add to report' button allows you to add or remove any suspected integrity issues from your final report.

This button helps you move to the next detected suspected issue.

On the right side, you'll see the page view. The system highlights suspected integrity issues in yellow. This view provides context for understanding the detected issues within your manuscript.

On the left side, you'll find the comparison section. This area shows a side-by-side view of detected integrity issues, automatically aligned for better visual assessment.

The Review Assistant is a side panel that explains the finding you are looking at: what was found, what it means, its severity, the signal behind the finding, and recommended follow-up actions, tailored to your user type.

A short "What do I see?" explanation is also shown inline within the report itself. See Understanding Your Findings.

For Western blot findings, Proofig AI can display a heatmap overlay that highlights the portion of the image suspected of manipulation, making it clearer which region triggered the finding.

Above the comparison section, you'll find Proofig's image integrity investigation tools. These tools help you further analyze and understand the detected issues by providing various enhancement and filtering options. These include color maps, histogram equalization, and advanced contrast and brightness filters.

At the bottom of the page, you'll find the comment section. Here, you can add comments about your findings

If you want to include these comments in your final report, simply check the 'Add comments to report' box.

Once you have reviewed all detected issues, the system will automatically generate a report. However, you can also manually generate the report by clicking the 'Generate Report' button.
