Introduction
Welcome to the Proofig Presentation of Findings page. This page provides a summary of the findings admitted by the reviewer. This guide will walk you through the key features and how to interpret the findings. When several manuscripts are uploaded together (up to 8), each is analyzed separately and produces its own report, so you will see one report per manuscript.
Print Button
At the top right, you'll see the 'Print' button. Click this to download your report as a PDF for easy sharing and offline review.
Summary of Findings
The report starts with a summary of findings. This section includes key elements such as the title, identifier, journal, authors, total pages, total subimages, and any duplications or alterations detected.
Detailed Findings
Below the summary, you'll find the detailed findings section. This part of the report presents each page where an issue was found, along with a side-by-side view of the findings and the filter used to detect the issue.
What do I see?
The 'What do I see?' description from the Review Assistant is carried into the report. Each finding in the report is accompanied by the same plain-language description of what can be seen, so anyone reading the report has that context.
Review Assistant
For the fuller picture, the Review Assistant is a side panel that explains what was found, what it means, its severity, the signal behind the finding, and recommended follow-up actions, tailored to your user type. See Understanding Your Findings.
Example of Integrity Issue
Here is an example of an integrity issue detected between two pages. The suspected images are marked with red rectangles. For Western blot findings, a heatmap overlay additionally highlights the portion of the image suspected of manipulation.
Reviewing Generated Reports and Re-Reviewing Subimages
Notice that after generating a report, it will no longer appear in your To Do section. However, you can review or edit suspected issues in the report anytime.
Simply click on the Reports button in the main menu to access your generated reports.
From there, select the relevant article report.
This will open a new menu on the left side of the screen, where you can navigate to 'Sub-image Re-review' to see the suspected issues again and edit them.
