How to add a company landlord

Updated over 2 years ago

When adding a landlord for the first time, the simplest way to do so is by starting on the front page.

Once you have clicked 'add landlord' you will be taken to the landlord screen to enter the relevant details. If the landlord is already on the system, you can search for them in the search bar. If this the first time they are being set up, you will have to enter the basic details manually.

As you can see below, if you would like to set up a company landlord, you can do so by setting the toggle to 'yes'. You can then enter the specific company name followed by the company officer and position they hold within the company.

You can also edit the name and how it is displayed on the agreement.

Remember when adding a landlord, a date of birth is needed to ensure you are applicable to take out a rent guarantee policy for the let.

Once the company details entered, you can then enter the company address, either manually or by searching from the post code and clicking look up.

You can then enter the company/landlords banking details so if it is a 'let only' service, the tenant will be prompted to set up a standing order at the end of the journey to the relevant account.

Lastly, you can set the relevant permissions as below:

You will always need to have a lead landlord. You can choose if you want to sign on the landlords behalf when the AST is generated and also you can turn on or off to send email updates to the specific landlord.
