What happens if my account fails and what reset options are available?

An account fails when it breaches a core account rule, most commonly:

  • dropping below the drawdown threshold

  • reaching 3 MAE Warnings

Once the account fails, trading stops on that account.

When does a failed account become reset-eligible?

  • If the account fails during the trading day, it cannot be reset immediately.

  • The failure email is sent after the End of Day report runs around 6-7pm EST.

  • Only after that process is completed does the reset option become available.

  • In practice, this usually means the reset becomes available starting the next day.

Reset eligibility rules

A reset is available only if:

  1. the trader holds fewer than 10 active accounts per asset class, limited to a maximum of 5 Intraday accounts and 5 Swing accounts

  2. the reset is requested within 48 hours of the End of Day report confirming failure

Each Gladiator account may be reset a maximum of 10 times over its lifetime.

After that, a new account purchase is required.

Reset options

Standard Reset (Option 1)

A Standard Reset issues a new trading account with no preserved Benchmarks.

Everything resets to the normal starting state, including:

  • account balance

  • trading history

  • qualifying trading days

  • current Benchmark progress

Benchmark Reset (Option 2)

A Benchmark Reset issues a new trading account while preserving up to 4 previously earned Benchmarks.

The following still reset:

  • account balance

  • trading history

  • qualifying trading days

Only the eligible Benchmarks carry over.

Benchmark Reset Add-On: Preserve Drawdown Balance

This add-on is available only with a Benchmark Reset. The new account starts with a higher initial balance so the trailing drawdown is already covered. This allows the trader to focus directly on:

  • Daily Profit Targets

  • remaining Benchmarks

without rebuilding the drawdown buffer first.

Important note on failed accounts

A failed account cannot continue trading.

Once failed:

  • the account stops

  • reset timing depends on End of Day confirmation

  • Benchmark recovery depends on the reset option selected

  • repeated MAE-based failures are not appealable
