This guide will help you navigate the Evidence Library within your Proserva portfolio, including uploading digital evidence, linking artifacts to standards, and managing your evidence.
Steps to Navigate and Use the Evidence Library
Understanding the Evidence Library
All evidence for your portfolio must be in digital format.
Recommended format: PDF for documents.
You can also upload digital images in formats like JPEG.
Uploading Evidence
To upload a file, click anywhere within the blue upload box. You can also click and drop files to the blue box.
Single file upload: The system allows you to upload one file at a time.
Adding Links: You can add a direct link, such as a YouTube video of your classroom or similar resources. If sharing files like Google Docs make sure they have the correct view permissions set.
Using the Search Function
Below the blue upload box, there is a Search field.
This feature is useful for finding specific pieces of evidence among potentially dozens in your library.
Search by Standard: As you prepare to submit your portfolio, use this feature to ensure you have adequate evidence linked to each standard.
Search by Evidence Type: You can also search for specific types of evidence you’ve submitted.
Managing Evidence
Each piece of evidence in your library will display a title, category, and description, which you input during the upload process.
A number will indicate how many standards each piece of evidence is linked to. If an evidence item isn’t linked to any standards, it won’t be visible to reviewers when you submit your portfolio.
Actions Available for Each Piece of Evidence
Preview: You can preview any of your artifacts.
Edit: Click on the pencil icon to edit the title, category, or description of an artifact.
Delete: If a piece of evidence is no longer needed, you can delete it from your Evidence Library.
