TRAINING PLANS

Learn how to create and send training plans to your fitness community

These plans are not just single sessions but can span over weeks or months, tailored to individual member goals. You can assign daily or weekly programs to these plans, making it easier for members to follow a structured fitness journey. Members receive these plans directly through the PT Mate Member app, where they can log their results, which automatically updates their progress for you to monitor.

PT Mate offers a comprehensive platform for fitness professionals to design, manage, and track training plans for their members. Here’s how it works:

From your business web portal you can create training plans from the programming page in the training plans tab. Here's a direct link; - https://ptmate.app/programming/plans

On your training plans page you have an overview of your training plans with average weeks and number members plans have been sent to.

Select the 'Create a Training Plan' button option on the right side of the screen, or the button at the beginning of the page.

This will bring you to your plan creation page.

  • Name the training plan, add a plan description
    Note: Members will be able to read when they open their plans.

  • Add a video link for members to access

  • Include if your member has additional personal training sessions.

Here you have the first week of your plan. Once you have built your first week you have the option to duplicate the week to allow you to make adjustments to the plan without have to build each week manually.

Hover over the day you want to add a program to and you will have 2 button options pop up on the day.

  • Add Existing Program

  • Create a new program

  • Create a new program

Once you have created your first week of sessions you can either;

  • Add a week
    This will create a new empty week on your training plan

  • Finish editing
    This will save your training plan to your training plans list.

Now that you have created your entire training plan for your members you have a few different button options;

  • Edit plan

This will reopen the program to allow you to make changes to the plan.

  • Send to members

This will bring up a list of all members that are connected. Select the members that you want to send the training plan to. To help you filer your members you can also filter by name or select member groups.

Once a member receives a training plan they will receive a push notification to the members app alerting them of their new plan being delivered.

They will be able to open their member app and under the Plans tab in the programming tab (flame icon).

Tap to open the training plan. Scroll to the bottom of the plan and you will see 2 button options;

  • Start this training plan

  • Delete this training plan

When they're ready to start their training plan they can tap the 'Start This Training Plan' and a confirmation will pop up, hit the 'Start Plan Now' option.

They will see the first week of the plan. They can scroll down the list to see the program names

Note: They need to move through the plans in consecutive order.

Open day one, program one.

Once your member hits this button option you will receive a push notification notifying you that they have start a program for their plan.

Scroll to the bottom of the program and tap the 'Do This Program Now' to open the different blocks that make up the program.

Member will be able to work through each block one at a time. As they complete a block there will be a 'Done' banner hovering over the block.

You can also see the block the follows has a banner 'Up Next' and blocks that follow display 'Pending'. They automatically update and your member works through the program.

Once they complete all of the blocks in the program a big tick will appear with the option to 'Tap To Go Back'.

If you have programmed multiple programs into one day your member will be able to move straight on to the next program.

Once they've opened the program much the same as the previous program they'll see each block of the program. As they work through the program the upcoming block will open allowing them to 'Start This Block' opening the timer that was set for the block when you create it.

Tapping the 'Start This Block' button option the details of the block will appear. If block notes were left in the top right corner of their screen will be a note icon, by tapping this icon the notes will open and display.

When they're ready to start they'll hit the timer button and the timer will give them a 5 seconds count down then start counting.

At the bottom of the screen there are 2 button options;

  • Pause Timer

  • End Timer

Once the block is finished they will be able to add their results.

Note: Once they save the block results it will save to their progress tab in their member profiles of your business web portal.

Once they complete each block the next one will open for them to move on to.

For strength movements or movements that are weighted they can tap on the movement to see movement details and their own movement history.

Once the start their next block timer it will give them a 5 second count down then begin according to the timer that was set when the program was set up.

Once they complete the work they'll be able to add their weights and reps much the same as the previous blocks.

Moving through the program will reveal the next block details and display the timer button for them to begin the block.

Once they stat the block the will again have the 5 second countdown then the timer will start.

Once the timer ends they will have the option to edit their results, Saving it to their progress tabs.

They'll move on to the next block. If there are block notes once the block is 'up next' the notes will display for them to read.

Once they're ready they can tap the 'Start This Block' button option for their 5 second countdown.

Once the timer does start they will be able to read the notes by accessing them in the top right corner in the notes icon again.

Note: The notes icon will only display in blocks that notes have been added to anytime. The notes will pop up over the timer allowing them to read back on them while still being able to see the time.

Once they've completed their training they will be brought back to their training plan program overview where they can see the plan completion %.

Through your business web portal in their training plan page you can watch their training consistency and track their progress.

Next up, duplicate training plan.

If you want to create a complete replica of the training plan use this button option.

You will be able to identify the duplicate plan because the name will be the same but '(copy)' will follow the original name.

  • Add existing program

Using this option you can select the programs for your programs list.

The list of the programs will pop up where you can scroll to find it or type the name is the search bar to filter the search.

Working through the plan creation the same way.

Once you add programs to the day of the week in the plan you will have a few button options to help you as you build your plan.

  • Edit
    Allowing you to edit the program

  • Duplicate
    Allowing you to add a copy of that same program into the plan.

    Note: You can hover over any program and drag it to other days on your plan.
