In the interaction of the two systems, plentymarkets is the leading system. This means that all item data must be maintained exclusively in plentymarkets. Changes made via the Pulpo WMS control centre are overwritten by plentymarkets.

The following article master data must be maintained in order to enable the transfer of article data to PULPO WMS:

  • Name (variant name, variant number, item name (Name1 - DE)). Note: When creating the integration, you can choose which field PULPO WMS should use.

  • Product type Normal, batch or serial number

  • Supplier per variant

  • Barcode(s) per variant

If these fields, or one of these fields, are not maintained, a transfer to PULPO WMS is not possible and the affected articles will not be transferred.

PULPO WMS uses the variant ID from plentymarkets as the SKU. This is necessary to ensure a unique assignment of the variant to the PULPO WMS product.

Different product types

PULPO WMS can manage 3 different product types:

  1. Standard product (e.g. T-shirt, jeans etc.)

  2. Lot product with minimum shelf life (e.g. foodstuffs)

  3. Serial number product (e.g. high-quality, technical products)

Depending on the product type, PULPO WMS maps the necessary processes to receive or send these products. (e.g. serial numbers and batch recording at goods receipt or goods issue).

PULPO WMS recognises product types based on the data stored in plentymarkets. Important : Once defined, it is not possible to change a product type, as serial numbers and batches always have a relation to the product.

  • Standard product:

A product that has neither a batch feature nor the serial number option activated is automatically created as a standard product in PULPO WMS.

  • Batch product:

    • In order to mark a product as a batch product in plentymarkets for PULPO WMS, a feature must be stored on the product in plentymarkets.

    • The first step is to create a characteristic: Setup -> Article -> Characteristics.

    • This must then be stored on the product: Edit Article -> Characteristics tab.

    • Important: A characteristic is stored on the article, all variations that arise from this article are then automatically created as a batch product.

  • Serial number product:

    • To mark a product as a serial number product in plentymarkets for PULPO WMS, the option Serial number under Article -> Global tab must be set to Yes.

    • Important: This option is set on the item. All variations resulting from this article are then automatically created as a serial number product.

    • created as a serial number product.

Tip: This explains how to start an integration manually.
