User profiles in PULPO WMS

Description of the main user profiles used within PULPO WMS

PULPO WMS has a set of predefined user profiles which specify rights, permissions, tasks which the users can perform, and information they can view in the App and online.

Multiple profiles for a single user

A single user can have multiple profiles assigned by the Administrators which allows the user to combine different roles (e.g. picker + packer) and therefore perform multiple types of tasks based on the requirements of the Tenant.

The following main user profiles are available in PULPO WMS:

Admin

Users with the Admin profile can perform and assign any type of task using the Web app and can access all the sections in the Android App.

For the administration of PULPO WMS, the following items are available for Admin users on the Web App:

  • admin/tags

User, position, and product tags can be defined and created in the Admin/Tags section.

  • admin/products

Products of all types including bulk products and products with serial numbers can be viewed, created manually, or uploaded as a CSV file in this section using a downloadable CSV template. Barcodes for the products can also be generated here.

Filters can be applied to show different types of products.

  • admin/third-party

Customers' and Suppliers' data can be viewed, created manually, or uploaded as a CSV file in this section using a downloadable CSV template.

  • admin/users

Users can be created, modified, and viewed in the admin/users section. They can be associated with existing warehouses and assigned tags. User profiles are applied to the users in the admin/users section as well thus defining their rights and permissions as described.

  • admin/reports

Reports on outgoing orders, occupied positions, and incoming goods can be viewed in the admin/reports section.

Data available:

Outgoing orders: Client / Fulfilled / Late / Pending / Canceled

Positions: Position / Status / Task / Time elapsed

Incoming goods: Supplier / #PO / Late / Pending / Rejected

  • admin/positions

The admin/positions section shows the list of all positions and users created in the warehouse and allows to print of barcodes for them.

Position types available: Reception, Storage, Shipping, Kitting, Cross-docking, Production, Packing, Return, Intersection, Door.

The positions can be edited in the admin/positions section: Storage-type positions can be changed to volume, the position can be set as available or occupied, and the tags can be assigned to the positions.

  • admin/boxes

All types of boxes with the required dimensions used for the order shipping and packing can be created and edited in the section. The weight defined in this section is a net weight of an empty box.

Cart boxes are managed under this section as well.

  • admin/shipping methods

Shipping methods used for the shipment of the goods are created and managed in the admin/shipping methods section.

  • admin/kitting-templates

Kitting templates are created and managed in the admin/kitting-templates section.

Kitting templates??

  • admin/warehouses
    The tenant’s warehouses are created and managed in the admin/warehouses section.

The user is to create a warehouse by assigning a Name, Priority, Address, and Country.

  • admin/settings

General app settings are managed in the admin/settings section.

  • admin/webhooks

Webhooks can be created and managed in the admin/webhooks section.

From the WMS daily activities point of view, the user with the Admin permissions is allowed to perform the maximum possible scope of tasks and assign the tasks to other users.

  • Outgoing orders

In this section, the orders are shown and can be assigned for picking. The orders can be created manually or uploaded from the downloadable CSV template. The orders can be filtered with multiple parameters. Order priority can be set as well.

Movement between warehouses is arranged in the Outgoing Orders section as well.

  • Picking

The picking section displays the orders previously assigned for picking. The picker for each order is also assigned in the Picking section.

The section contains picking information for the orders in the queue. The picking tasks can be split if necessary. Order priority can be set as well.

  • Packing

The packing section displays the orders previously picked and delivered to the selected packing station. The packer for each order is also assigned in the Packing section.

The section contains information about the orders in the queue. Order priority can be set as well.

  • Movement

The movement section displays the orders previously assigned for movement either manually or automatically. The picker for each order is assigned in the Movement section as well. The Movement tasks can be split if necessary.

The positions tab contains the information about the goods corresponding to the certain movement task and collected / total / stored quantities for each type of goods

  • Incoming goods

The Incoming goods section stores information about incoming orders with quantity and contents. Purchase orders can be viewed, created manually, or uploaded as a CSV file in this section using a downloadable CSV template. Printing labels for each type of product separately are available under the Print Labels tab.

  • Counting tasks

The tasks for counting are created in the Counting tasks section. Possible types of counting tasks:

  • all products in the assigned position

  • certain products in the assigned positions

  • counting of the products with pre-defined tags and parameters in a certain zone.

  • Stock

The Stock section allows the user to search the stock for certain products, positions, position types, and locations. Expiring products can be viewed in the Stock as well. The search results can be downloaded as a CSV file.

  • Automation

The tasks for the automatic replenishment of the goods can be created in the Automation tab. If the quantity of goods in a certain position falls below the predefined threshold, the moving task will be created automatically to replenish the goods.

  • Kitting tasks

The tasks for kitting products can be created in this section based on the pre-defined templates.

In the Mobile App, the following sections are available to the Admin:

  • Picking

  • Packing

  • Movement

  • Incoming Goods

  • Counting

  • Returns

  • Audit

The Admin can accept and perform Picking Tasks, Packing tasks, Movement tasks (and manual movement), see incoming goods, and perform acceptance tasks or for the incoming goods. The admin can perform counting tasks and manage returns as well.

The Audit section of the app allows the user with Admin permissions to search certain positions or goods and see the product or position information under the Show Info tab.

Create Task tab allows the Admin to create a counting task for a certain position or goods.

The print label position allows the user to print labels for the products, and the Printer Settings section is used to set up a printer.

Superpicker

From the WMS daily activities point of view, the user with the Superpicker profile can perform the maximum possible scope of tasks and assign the tasks to other users.

The difference between the superpicker and Admin is in the Superpiker’s inability to perform administration tasks.

Picker

Performs picking of the goods and movement of the goods between storage and packing or dispatch zones.

In the Web App has access to the following sections:

  • Stock

  • Kitting tasks

In the Mobile App has access to the following sections:

  • Picking

Packer

Performs packing of the goods delivered to the packing zones.

In the Web App, the Packer has access to the following sections:

  • Packing

  • Stock

  • Kitting tasks

In the Mobile App, the Packer has access to the following sections:

  • Packing

Stocker

A user with a Stocker profile is responsible for intra-stock operations and replenishment of the stock in case the amount of goods falls below a certain pre-defined quantity.

Stocker has a right to set up automatic replenishment tasks using the web interface.

In the Web App the Stocker has access to the following sections:

  • Movement

  • Counting tasks

  • Stock

  • Automation

In the Mobile App the Stocker doesn’t have access to any of the sections.

Receiving supervisor

Performs acceptance of the goods and decides on the positions to be returned to the supplier. Can perform movement of the goods between reception, storage, and return positions. Performs goods labeling if necessary.

In the Web App Receiving Supervisor has access to the following sections:

  • Incoming orders

In the Mobile App Receiving Supervisor has access to the following sections:

  • Movement

  • Incoming goods

  • Returns

Inventory counter

Performs counting of all products in the assigned position, certain products in the assigned positions or counting of products with pre-defined tags and parameters in a certain zone.

In the Web App, Inventory Counter has access to the following sections:

  • Counting tasks

In the Mobile App the Inventory Counter has access to the following sections:

  • Counting
