PULPO WMS includes cross-docking functionality as a standard feature.

Cross-docking is a practice in logistics of unloading materials from a manufacturer or mode of transportation directly to the customer or another mode of transportation, with little or no storage in between. This may be done to change the type of conveyance, to sort material intended for different destinations, or for combining material from different origins into transport vehicles (or containers) with the same or similar destinations.

In PULPO WMS, the cross-docking position has the highest priority by default. For the users, this means that the products stored in the cross-docking positions will always be the first to pick even if there is already a stock of this product in storage positions.

As a result of this, to perform cross-docking operations, simply store the incoming goods intended for cross-docking products in the Cross-docking positions. As the sales order comes into the system, assign the task to the picker. The Pickers will be guided to the cross-docking zone, and the picking will be finished in a timely manner.
