Positions view in the PULPO WMS Web App

General Position View

The Positions view holds several columns allowing users to immediately see the position settings and see if the stock is located on the positions:

For instance, the position M-1-1-1-1-1 shown above has the following characteristics:

  • Standard position

  • Holds Stock

  • Located in the Model Zone

  • Is not Volume

  • Is available

Positions Filter

The filter in the top bar can be used to filter out positions based on the following characteristics:

  • Position type

  • Zone code

  • Position tags

  • Volume

  • Stock allocation

  • Availability

  • Code

  • Hallway

  • Row

  • Module

  • Level

  • Position

Combine multiple filters at a time to find, for instance, empty and available volume locations on the 5th level in zone X.

Stock view

The position details view shows the stock located on a certain position in the STOCK tab. You can see not only quantity, but LOTs and Serial numbers stores in the location there.

Bulk position operations

The buttons Change Volume flag and Change Available Flag allow you to change the state of the positions between Volume / Non-Volume and Available / Unavailable in a few clicks.

You can select some or all positions, change the flag, and confirm the change in the following dialogue.

Combined with the number of rows per page selector, the functionality allows you to update up to 200 positions at a time.

Printing warehouse position labels

The number of rows per page selector allows you to generate barcodes for up to 200 positions at a time.

To do so, change the selector to the desired value and click the generate barcodes PDF for this page button located on top of the screen.

The system will generate a document with up to 200 barcodes in a 2 x 8 layout. You can print them on a pre-cut label paper and use them for labelling your warehouse immediately.

Single Warehouse position operations

Setting the positions to unavailable

Making positions unavailable can be useful for several reasons, e.g. to make stock unavailable to enlarge an adjacent storage position.

Setting positions to not available will trigger the following behavior:

  • PULPO WMS will no longer suggest that position for picking products. The positions will also not be displayed if other picking positions are displayed manually in the PULPO WMS Android App.

  • PULPO WMS will not consider the position as a storage position for incoming goods.

  • The stock of products in that position is not regarded as available stock.

The position can still be manually selected to place products there.

The setting is activated as follows:

  1. Open menu item Positions

  2. Edit location

  3. Change the "Available" setting to active

Setting the position to Volume

The Volume positions are only picked once the non-volume positions are out of stock. The "Volume" flag is activated as follows:

  1. Open menu item Positions

  2. Edit location

  3. Change the "Volume" switch to active

Adding the position tags

PULPO WMS allows you to add tags to the positions in the warehouse. Position tags allow you to optimize pickings and movements, and match products to the warehouse positions. To add the tags:

  1. Open menu item Positions

  2. Edit location

  3. Select and add the required tags to the warehouse position.
