Reason codes explaining the actions of the users or the results of the warehouse processes are available for counting tasks in PULPO WMS. This helps to have a uniform set of actions and better understand the working process in the warehouse managed by PULPO WMS.

Enabling the setting

To enable the setting, the user has to make the following steps:

  • Enable Reason codes in the settings. The Reason Codes section will appear in the side menu of the Web App

  • In the Reason Codes section, the user is to create a set of the required reason codes and assign them to the counting tasks. Only the codes assigned to the process in the settings can be used in the process in PULPO WMS mobile and web apps. Only the reasons which have the type "internal" can be assigned to the counting tasks.

  • In the Settings tab of the Reason Codes section, the user has to decide whether the reason codes are mandatory.

  • With the process option "Reason per item" the user will be able to assign reason codes to each SKU/Serial/Batch of the products counted.

  • With the process option "Reason per task" the user will be able to assign reason codes to the task. Both options can be selected together.

  • If you set reason codes as mandatory, the App will require users to add reasons to all SKUs, items, serials, and tasks (if the corresponding process option is enabled).

Counting tasks in the Mobile App

After accepting the assigned counting task, the user counts the product as usual.

If the setting "Reason per item" is enabled, the user will be able to assign reason codes differently depending on the product type.

  • None-type products:

When the user counts the none-type products, the reason codes can be assigned to each SKU.

The codes are added to each SKU during counting.

  • Serial-type products:

When the user counts the serial-type products, the reason codes can be assigned to each serial.

The codes are added to each serial by selecting a reason code and then adding serials (code will be assigned to all reasons added while a certain code is selected). The codes can be amended by clicking on the cardboard icon as well.

  • Lot-type products:

When the user counts the lot-type products, the reason codes can be assigned to each batch.

  • Another option to add/amend the reason codes is to click on the cardboard icon next to the serial or batch and amend the set of reason codes.

If the setting "Reason per task" is enabled, the user will be able to assign reason codes to the whole task.

To do that, in the counting overview screen in the PULPO WMS Mobile App, the users can add the reason codes to the task he is about to finish.

The reason codes assigned by the counter will be shown in the Counting task overview screen in the Web App during the audit of the counting tasks.

Audit of the counting task

During the audit, the auditor can see the reason codes assigned by the counter (both for tasks and items) and add his own reason codes. The auditor is not allowed to change the reason codes assigned by the counter.

To add the auditor's reason codes to the SKU, batch, or serial, the auditor clicks the cardboard icon and adds the reasons from a dropdown.

The auditor can see the reason codes assigned in the previous iterations, but not change them. Only the auditor's reason codes for the current iteration can be amended or deleted by the auditor.

To add the reason codes to a task, the auditor clicks Add reasons button.

After adding or adjusting the reason codes, the auditor can finish the task or re-open it for counting.
