In the PULPO WMS settings (Tab Outgoing -> Packing & Shipping) in the webApp you will find a setting called "Set scanning mandatory in the packing process". The setting allows you to enforce a product scan in the packing step to make sure, all products are available and picked correctly:

As you can see, the setting has 3 options to exactly decide what needs to be scanned:

1) Confirm the product and the serial number / batch number and the quantity

Having this option selected, the user has to scan each product in the packing task + all respective LOTs and serials in the exact amount in which the product is included in the task.

Example:

A packing has 3 items in it. 3x Product A (standard product), 5x product B (serial number product) and 4x product C (LOT product).

In this case, the user has to scan 3x product A, 1x product B + 5x the serial numbers related to product B, 1x product C + all related LOTs (If its 3x LOT A and 1x LOT B, he has to scan 3x LOT A and 1x LOTB)

2) Confirm the product and the serial number / batch number

Having this option selected, the user has to scan each product in the packing task + all respective serials and LOTs. Same example as above, the user has to scan 1x product A, 1x product B + 5x the serial numbers related to product B, 1x product C + 1x LOT A and 1x LOT B)

3) Only confirm the Product

Having this option selected, the user has to scan every product included in the packing task to confirm that everything is available. Quantities are not secured by this option. Same example as above, the user has to scan 1x product A, 1x product B + 1x product C

Note: This setting interfers with another setting "Skip product validation when beginning packing task". If you activate one of the two, while the other one is activated, the other one will automatically be deactivated. Also scanning the products happens in the packing overview screen now, there is no need to tab the small barcode icon top right anymore:
