Narratives AI Just Got Better: Introducing Bluesky Data, Location Filtering and Narrative Spotlight!

Updated this week

Narratives AI, the first search engine for public opinion, continues to evolve, and we’re excited to introduce three major updates designed to deepen your insight into online discourse and make narrative analysis even more powerful.

We’ve expanded our data coverage to include Bluesky, giving you access to one of the fastest-growing spaces for online conversation. With nearly 40 million users, Bluesky has quickly established itself as a vibrant hub for academics, journalists, activists, and thought leaders. These communities are often at the forefront of shaping narratives and influencing public opinion across politics, culture, and business, often before they reach the mainstream.

By integrating Bluesky data, Narratives AI now delivers a more comprehensive and balanced view of public discourse, reducing over-reliance on X and avoiding insights skewed by a single platform’s dynamics.

Key Benefits of Bluesky

  • Expanded data coverage: Bluesky content is now ingested, processed, and clustered as part of Public data in Narratives AI, alongside X data. You can view sample relevant content from Bluesky when in the single narrative spotlight page.

  • Multi-platform view of narratives: Analyze public conversations with greater clarity and context from more than one social source, providing richer and more representative insights that reflect public opinion more accurately.

  • Greater diversity in discourse: Capture narratives across different communities and demographics, ensuring your analysis reflects a wider range of voices.

We’ve also introduced a significant new enhancement, location-based filtering. With this update, users are now able to filter for narratives by location based on where the content originates, as well as view the geographic distribution for each narrative. Narratives are not discussed in isolation; they often resonate in specific regions more than others. Location filtering therefore adds an important geographic lens to narrative analysis, making it possible to understand not just what narratives are emerging, but also where they are taking hold.

What You Can Do with Location Filtering

  • Identify where narratives originate and where they gain traction.

  • Compare how narratives resonate across different markets.

  • Spot regional dominance and variations at a glance.

  • Extract location-specific insights to guide strategy and decision-making.

Key Features of Location Filtering

  • Filter by location across both Public and Media Narratives. The default setting includes all countries, but you can narrow searches for region-specific insights.

  • Country tagging: Every narrative is now tagged with its originating countries. This makes it simple to see at a glance where a narrative has been detected and which regions are contributing to its growth.

  • An interactive map visualisation in the Narrative Spotlight view highlights regional narrative strength. Countries are shaded with varying levels of colour intensity, showing where the narrative is strongest. This makes it easy to discern regional dominance and understand the geographic distribution of each narrative.

Together, these updates expand the depth of Narratives AI by introducing an insightful geographic dimension. With location-based filtering and mapping, you can better track how narratives form, where they resonate, and how they spread across borders; all within a single, intuitive workflow.

Narrative Spotlight in Narratives AI

We have expanded the analytical depth of Narratives by introducing LLM-inferred insights powered by Deep Seek. These enrichments provide contextual intelligence far beyond basic summarisation, helping users understand not just what a narrative is, but why it matters, who is driving it, and what impact it could have. This new layer of analysis transforms Narratives AI into a strategic tool for understanding and decision-making.

Each narrative is now enriched with AI-generated insights across a wide range of dimensions, including:

  • Origins and context: Where and how the narrative began.

  • Key audiences: Communities engaging with and amplifying the conversation.

  • Influential figures: Public personalities or creators shaping its direction.

  • Cultural alignment: Broader movements or trends the narrative connects to.

  • Brand and industry relevance: Which organisations are affected or involved.

  • Social, political, and economic drivers: Underlying forces fuelling discourse.

  • Predicted outcomes: How the narrative may evolve over time.

These LLM-powered insights in addition to other insights we already provide, like Narrative summary, size, growth and interest, synthesise patterns across platforms and communities in real time, helping you see the bigger picture behind every narrative and transform narratives into actionable intelligence.
