Learning Objectives

  • You will learn how to create and delete tags

  • You will understand how to apply

What is Tagging?

Applying tags to posts is a very useful way to segment your data and keep track of a specific set of posts. By using tags, you can group posts within your brands by any category of your choosing. Tagging also enables you to track the brand's performance over time and understand its impact on its audience.

πŸ“ˆExample: Your brand is running a particular campaign at a specific period of time and you'd like to see how the posts from the campaign have been received by your audience.

You can track your content's performance and audience growth by tagging content from that period of time that are related to that campaign or contain certain hashtags. You can then use filters to focus your insights on the campaign rather than the brand as a whole.

Creating Tags

You can create tags in a couple of different ways: directly from the All Posts page in the Brand or Profile, or from the Brandset Settings.

All Posts page

To create tags from the All Post page, you'll first need to select at least one post to apply the tag to, otherwise the Tags dropdown will be greyed out.

Once you've selected your posts, click on the Tags dropdown. This will allow you to search through any existing tags, or create new ones by simply typing the tag name and selecting the Create tag option.

Brandset Settings

The Tags section within the Brandset Settings allows you to search your existing tags or create new ones

To create a new tag from the Brandset Settings, click the Add Tag button. This will open a pop-up window where you will be able to enter your tag name and add it to your list of existing tags. You can also edit tag names from this page!

Applying Tags

You can tag posts from the All Posts page in either the Brand section or within the individual profile.

Once in the All Post page, select the post you'd like to apply tags to and click the Tags dropdown. This will bring up a list of your existing tags. Then simply select your tags and click Apply!

To remove tags from a post, select the post you'd like to remove tags from and click the Tags dropdown again.

πŸ’‘Top Tip: Use filters to easily separate content you want to tag from the full dataset

Deleting Tags

Tags can be deleted from the Brandset Settings by navigating to the Tags section. From there you will just need to click the delete icon next to the tag.

🚨Important: Deleting a tag will remove it from all posts it has been applied to
