Learning Objectives

  • Understand Brands in the context of CORE

  • Learn how to manage your Brands

What are Brands?

CORE is structured in the following hierarchy:

  • Brandsets

    • Brands

      • Profiles

Brands are groups of individual Profiles and sit within Brandsets. Brands help you get a full view of the performance of all social channels in one place.

πŸ“ˆExample: The Fast Fashion Brandset below is composed of several brands: Pretty Little Thing, boohoo, Asos etc.

You can see that each of these brands contain individual Profiles: X, Facebook and Instagram.

So the Pretty Little Thing Brand has X and Instagram accounts added in the form of Profiles.

Types of Brands

There are 2 types of brands in CORE:

  1. Owned Brands: These are your own brands that you manage. Ideally you have authorization and control of the social channels you will add to your owned brands.

  2. Competitor Brands: These are competitor brands that you would like to measure your owned channel performance against.

You'll see the Owned and Competitor labels next to each Brand

Creating a Brand

Before creating a Brand, you must create a Brandset to contain those Brands. Instructions for how to set up a Brandset can be found here:

Once the Brandset has been created, click on the Brandset. Then, select the Add Brand button.

This will bring up a popup that will allow you to enter the Brand name and choose whether this is an Owned Brand or a Competitor Brand.

Click Create and your Brand is ready for the next step -- adding Profiles!

Renaming Brands

Brands can only be renamed from the Brandset Settings

You can access the Brandset Settings from two places:

  1. When you're viewing the Brandset, click on the Brandset Settings button.

  2. When the sidebar is visible, click on Brandset Settings. Note that you can select Brandset Settings even when the menu is minimized.

Now that you've opened up the Brandset Settings, click on the 3 dots on the right of the brand you wish to rename and select Edit.

Type in the new brand name and Save your changes.

Deleting Brands

Deleting Brands can also only be done from the Brandset Settings.

🚨Important: Deleting Brands cannot be undone

Once you've opened up the Brandset Settings, click on the 3 dots on the right of the brand you wish to remove and select Delete.

Click on Remove to confirm.
