Once you have created a Brand, you will be able to add Profiles. Profiles are the social media accounts linked to each of your Brands. CORE allows you to track Profiles from the following sites:

Private vs Public Data
Data collected on CORE can be either private or public.
Private data comes directly from the data provider's native platform using their formulas and algorithms rather than those by Pulsar. For example, when tracking an X Profile, you will be seeing data from X Analytics as it is displayed on their site. When you create an Owned brand, you can plug-in profiles that then retrieve Private data which is richer than public data (eg demographics data per profile). For this reason, we recommend plugging in all your owned profiles and maintaining your tokens.
Public data, on the other hand, is collected by analysing the profile's content. Pulsar then uses this data to measure a post's performance based on metrics such as engagements, visibility, etc. For more info on these metrics, check out our Metrics articles!
For Facebook, Instagram and X owned channels, you will often see toggles that allow you to switch between Private and Public data:
YouTube, LinkedIn and Google Analytics are always private data and require plugging in. Instagram, Facebook and X have both public and private data.
Adding vs Plugging in Profiles
You can add any public profile from X, Facebook or Instagram to CORE. You will only retrieve public data when you add a profile.
When you plug-in a profile to CORE, you will retrieve private data & public data where relevant. You will need to be able to manage and access the profile (ie. own the account) and add tokens to manage your access to these channels. The plug-in option is only available for owned channels.
