Learning Objectives

  • Learn how to plug in your Facebook pages into CORE

What is Plugging In?

Plugging in a profile authorizes Pulsar to collect insights data on your behalf. Plugged-in Facebook pages pull insights directly from the Meta Business Suite.

🚨Important: Plugging in is only available for Owned Profiles as you will need to enter the profile's login credentials.

What info can I gain by plugging in Facebook Pages?

Plugging in your Facebook page allows you to collect the following data in addition to the Public data already collected for both Owned and Competitor Profiles:

  • Video views

  • Micro engagements

Requirements

Before plugging in your Facebook page, you'll need to make sure the following are in place:

  • You are logged into the correct account

  • The Facebook page has been updated to Facebook's new Pages Experience

  • You have full access to the Facebook page

  • The Facebook page is a public page with no regional restrictions

Steps to plug in

  1. Add the Profile to your Owned Brand by following the steps listed in our Profiles article:

  2. Once added, head into the Brandset Settings and find the Brand where the Profile was added. Click the Plugin Profiles button next to the Brand name

  3. Select Facebook

You'll be redirected to Facebook to complete the next part of the plugging-in process

  1. Confirm you are logged into an account with full access to the Facebook page and select Continue

  2. Select the Facebook pages you'd like to connect to CORE.

  3. Ensure that all permissions are enabled and click Done

You've now successfully linked Pulsar to your Facebook pages! You'll be taken back to the CORE Brandset Settings to finish plugging in.

  1. You'll see a list of all the available Facebook pages to plug in. This list will include all the Facebook you selected in the previous steps. Select the page you'd like to plug in as well as the Ad account you'd like to use and click Plugin Profile

Your Facebook page has now been plugged into CORE and you will begin collecting private insights starting from the time when the profile was plugged in!
