Custom Dashboards provide a dedicated place for CORE users to start building their own custom insights, using available standard charts as well as bespoke charts. The reports section in CORE is easy to access, perfect for regular reporting and ad hoc analysis. And if you’ve been a Pulsar TRAC user for a while, you'll find that CORE’s reporting tool offers a familiar experience closely aligned with TRAC’s dashboards. Our goal was to provide an easy-to-use and intuitive experience, allowing users to start using CORE reports immediately with little to no guidance.

You can access CORE Reports in the side navigation menu at the Brand level. From here, you can create a new dashboard from scratch, or use one of our prebuilt templates. This flexibility allows you to tailor your reporting experience to your specific needs, ensuring that you can quickly and easily generate the insights you require.

Creating a New Dashboard

Creating a new dashboard is accessible in two ways. First you have to navigate to a Brand to view the Reports menu.

  1. Click on the Existing Dashboards menu in the side navigation panel under Reports.

  2. From here click on the "Create Dashboard" button on the top right corner as shown below.

3. Under the Reports in the side navigation panel, you can also quickly access the option to Create Dashboards. Simply click on this menu item, which will take you straight into the new dashboard workflow, as shown below.

Once you have triggered the new dashboard workflow, you have two options on how to build your dashboards - either start a new dashboard from scratch, or use any of the available templates.

Create a Dashboard from Scratch

If none of the templates suit you, you have the option to create a new dashboard from scratch. Doing so will take you immediately to the Dashboard's page. From there you can start adding charts, using any of the following options: Standard Charts, Custom Charts and Free- Text Charts. To find out more on the various chart options available the check out this article in the CORE Reports Library.

Create a Dashboard from an Existing Template

  • Brand Overview: The brand overview template is a direct copy of the Overview page available in CORE. However you will be able to pick the profiles included in the dashboard as well as add additional charts to support your analysis.

  • Profile Overview: The profile overview template focuses on how the content within a single profile is performing, offering the users to understand the Audience and Content performance of a single or multiple profiles.

Add Charts to a Dashboard

Clicking on this button will let you add charts to your dashboard whether you are building it from scratch or from a template. These charts are customisable allowing you to display data across the various brands or profiles. You can choose between Standard Charts, Custom Charts and Free- Text Charts.

To find out more on the various chart options available the check out this article in the CORE Reports Library.

Data availability on CORE differs by channel (Instagram, Facebook, X, etc), and whether or not a specific profile is collecting public insights or private insights. Therefore the first step when adding a new chart is always to select and specify the profiles or channels you would like to gather your insights from and visualise first, before adding any charts to your dashboard.

So as soon as you select the type of chart you’d like to add to your dashboard, you will be prompted to select the profiles you want to analyse in your chart first. You can select a single profile, combine multiple profiles across several brands or focus on specific channels, for example on Instagram channels.

Brandset level reporting is not yet supported in this release but will be in the future.

Modify and design your Dashboard Report

After building your dashboard, you have the ability to:

  • specify the dashboard settings

  • assign a name to your dashboard

  • view, rearrange or modify your charts to suit your preferences

  • add more charts as required

  • design your dashboard's look and feel with a custom logo and background image

Export your Dashboard into a Report

Clicking the export button will take you to a preview of your report. From here you'll have the option to return to your dashboard, or export the report to a PDF, as shown below for easy sharing.

Share Report Now

This option allows you to immediately email a report that you have created, instead of downloading it and going into your email client to send it. It's a great and nifty way to quickly share the report as all your team member's emails are directly available for selection.

Clicking on Email Now presents you with a modal where you can quickly add a message and select your recipients as shown below:

Schedule your Report

If you would like to be kept up-to-date on the report that you have created, you have the option to set up a delivery schedule for your report. You can do this by clicking on the Email button and selecting Schedule.

Clicking this button will bring up a modal allowing you to schedule when and how often your report dashboard should be emailed, and to whom. The toggle at the top allows you to turn the reporting on and off (activate or pause it), and the recipients section allows you to select or upload recipients and customize the body of the email.

Tip: If scheduling a report make sure you have set the Report to Active!

Now that you've got the low down on creating a CORE dashboard and launching a report, head over to our collection on CORE Dashboards for more guidance on adding charts, and the different chart options available.
