CORE Custom Dashboards and Reporting is now available on Pulsar, making it easy to create customised views of your performance, and produce reports that you can quickly share with your clients and stakeholders.

Who is this new reporting tool for?

Pulsar CORE is Pulsar’s solution for owned channel performance and benchmarking analysis, making it the ideal tool for Brand Social Media Managers. Automated Reporting on CORE has been highly anticipated, and this latest release is the first step in bringing CORE’s reporting capabilities in line with those of TRAC. CORE’s custom dashboards and reporting tools are designed for anyone looking to understand their competition or monitor their owned channel performance. This consequently makes it the perfect complement to TRAC’s earned media reporting.

If you’ve been a Pulsar TRAC user for a while, you'll find that CORE’s reporting tool offers a familiar experience closely aligned with TRAC’s dashboards. Our goal was to provide an easy-to-use and intuitive experience, allowing users to start using CORE reports immediately with little to no guidance. We believe we’ve achieved just that with this first release.

Key Highlights

  • Create custom charts and dashboards to analyze your brand performance and benchmark against your competitors.

  • Visualise key metrics, audience growth, content performance, and campaign success.

  • Streamline your dashboard creation and reports with readily available charts.

  • Turn your insights and visuals into professional, polished reports to share your insights with stakeholders, showcase impact, and demonstrate success.

  • Build instant one-off reports or automate your regular reporting with a schedule of your choice ensuring that key insights arrive in your inbox exactly when you need them.

Accessing CORE Dashboards and Reports

You can access CORE’s new reporting tool in the side navigation menu at the brand level. And á la TRAC, there are two ways in which you can start building a new dashboard - create a new dashboard from scratch, or use one of our prebuilt templates. This flexibility allows you to tailor your reporting experience to your specific needs, ensuring that you can quickly and easily generate the insights you require.

Regardless of whether you choose to create from scratch of from a template, there are various charting options available for you to add to that dashboard. Data availability on CORE differs by channel and whether or not that profile is collecting public insights or private insights. Therefore the first step when adding a new chart is always to select and specify the profiles or channels you would like to gather your insights from and visualise, before adding any charts to your dashboard.

You have the following three options to choose from when building your CORE dashboard:

  • Standard Charts - these are a collection of all the prebuilt visualisations on CORE. These charts include visualisations from the Brand Overview and Brand Profiles sections, as well as all charts available at profile level, such as charts in the Audience section, Content section and Creative section. Additionally, if you are tracking private data, you also have the ability to access charts that are unique to private insights, such as Demographics.

  • Custom Charts - these are a great way to further customise your charts and view the data beyond the prebuilt charts we offer. At the moment, we offer custom chart templates such as Pie Chart, Bar Chart, Line Chart and Stacked Bar Chart, each of which can be customised using the platform filters. You can therefore create focused visualisations that look at how your hashtags, profiles or types of content are performing.

  • Free Text Chart - this chart type allows you to input additional notes and commentary to your report.

Sharing your CORE Reports

After you've successfully compiled your CORE custom dashboard, the next step is turning this into a shareable report. We've made this process convenient for you with a few options:

  • Download as PDF: If you don't wish to email the report and simply want to keep a local copy, you can easily download it as a PDF file once you've finished compiling it.

  • Send Now: This option enables you to quickly send the completed report to a list of recipients. Your recipients will receive an email containing a link to download the PDF report, ensuring quick and efficient delivery.

  • Schedule for Later: If you prefer to send the report at a specific date and time in the future, you can use this option. You specify the date and time, and the report will be automatically emailed to your chosen recipients at the scheduled moment, with a link to download the PDF report.

  • Set up a regular schedule: In case you want to receive or share your report at a regular schedule, you have the option to set up a recurring report that will be automatically sent at a date and time of your choice.

What’s next in store …

Whilst TRAC Custom Dashboards and Reporting was relatively straightforward, CORE poses some unique challenges, given the relationship between profiles, brands and brandsets and the different metrics available. Therefore we plan to release new features and functionalities in phases, with a view to iterate this over the next few months. Some of the features you can expect in Phase 2 include comparisons, more custom charts including small multiples, and the ability to report on different metrics when building custom charts. The full list of what’s next is below:

  • Build custom charts using any of the metrics available on CORE, not just volume.

  • A number of charts on CORE are currently available as a group of charts that can’t be separated and picked individually, like the Audience charts and Brand Overview charts. In the next iteration, you will be able to choose the individual charts that you want to add to your reports.

  • Better competitor and own performance comparisons

  • New custom chart templates such as small multiples and grouped bar charts

  • Advanced filtering in dashboards by profiles and brands

  • More dashboards templates
