Guide to adding SPF record/ Configure DKIM for Quartz for a Custom Domain

To ensure that all emails sent from Quartz use your custom domain, you can configure this setting at the organisation level. Navigate to Organisation Details > Organisation Settings, and add your custom "From Email" address.

If you're using your own domain, you must also:

  • Add the appropriate SPF record to your domain’s DNS settings.

  • Configure DKIM authentication.

These steps are essential to prevent emails from being marked as spam or junk by your recipients. Failure to do so may result in communication issues or delays in client and contractor payments.

1. Login to your DNS providers portal and navigate to the DNS settings to add a new record.

2. Create a TXT/SPF record with the settings below.

Always ensure that existing SPF entries are “added to” and not replaced so that the other send email servers are not over written.


DKIM Records

DKIM Records must be configured or the emails sent by your company to your contractors, clients and suppliers through the Quartz application, your email server should be validated so that the emails are not classified as SPAM.

Guide to Configuring DKIM records

If DMARC is configured, DKIM needs to be configured to authenticate domains. Follow the steps below for configuring DKIM:

1. Login to your DNS providers portal and navigate to the DNS settings to add a new record.

2. Create a TXT record and enter the values for DKIM in accordance with what was sent via email.
