Guide to resetting Passwords for contractors in Quartz

If a contractor cannot log in to Quartz, there are several ways to help them regain access:

1. Contractor Uses “Forgotten Password”

  • The contractor can click the “Forgotten password” link on the login page

  • This will send them an email with a link to reset their password.

  • They can follow the link to create a new password themselves.

2. Resend the Invitation Link

If the contractor doesn’t have access to the invitation email, you can resend it:

  1. Go to the organisation level in Quartz.

  2. Use the search menu to find the contractor page.

  3. Filter to locate the specific contractor.

  4. Click the edit iconContact infoResend invite.

  5. The contractor will receive an email invitation and can set a new password through that link.

3. Reset the Password on Behalf of the Contractor

As an admin, you can reset their password directly:

  1. Go to Settings → Manage Users.

  2. Search by the contractor’s email address.

  3. Toggle Set/Reset User Credentials.

  4. Enter a new password and select Save.

  5. Provide the contractor with their username and new password.

  6. Advise the contractor to update the password to one of their choice when they log in.
