Quartz Release June 2026

Revamp of Consultant role within Quartz ⌛

S
Written by Shauna Greaves

With this release, we’ve completely revamped the consultant role within Quartz, giving consultants greater control over their assignments, contractors, and timesheets.

Consultants now have access to a refreshed portal view, allowing them to:

  • View and manage assignments assigned to them at an admin level

  • Review and manage contractor timesheets

  • Submit timesheets on behalf of contractors

  • Access pre-drafted timesheets ready for submission from the outset

Benefits of this update

This enhancement will:

  • Give consultants greater control over contractor payments, strengthening both contractor–consultant and consultant–client relationships

  • Reduce pressure on back-office admin users by shifting timesheet submission and approval responsibilities to consultants, allowing admin teams to focus more on the pay and bill cycle

  • Add an additional layer to the timesheet submission process, providing more flexibility to suit different business needs

Access options for Consultants:

For customers who do not want consultants to have this additional access, there are still flexible setup options available.

  • Add the consultant as an organisation user but do not invite them to the system (leave their email address blank). This means they will not have access to Quartz, while their details can still be linked to assignments for reporting purposes.

Alternatively:

  • If a consultant is assigned multiple roles and is given full Quartz access, the other role will override the consultant role, providing them with the full Quartz experience.

In addition to the above, a new filter has been introduced on the User Timesheet screen within the Admin view.

Administrators can now filter timesheets by Consultant, allowing you to easily view and manage all timesheets associated with a specific user.

This provides:

  • A clear overview of consultant-managed timesheets

  • Visibility of timesheet statuses

  • Improved control and monitoring of submissions

This enhancement helps give administrators greater confidence that timesheets are being submitted accurately and on time.

And Finally, we have redesigned the layout of the Settings tab within assignments to provide a more intuitive flow and a clearer presentation of options.

This update ensures that all configuration areas are logically grouped, making it easier to navigate and manage assignment settings.

There is a clear breakdown of the timesheets settings

The timesheet settings:
