Estimate Templates let you save any estimate as a reusable starting point, then load it in seconds the next time you quote a similar job. Perfect for recurring services, standard packages, and any quote you find yourself building over and over.
If you spray the same chemical mix on most driveways, paint the same standard room sizes, or offer the same tiered package to every new lead — turn that estimate into a template once and skip the rebuild every time.
What Is an Estimate Template?
An Estimate Template is a saved version of an estimate's structure — the services, line items, prices, discounts, taxes, deposits, terms, and footers — without any customer information attached. When you start a new estimate from a template, those services and pricing populate automatically. You add the customer details, tweak anything that needs to change, and send.
Templates are different from Drafts. A Draft is one specific estimate you saved to finish later — it has a customer attached. A Template is a reusable structure you can apply to many different customers.
When Should You Use Estimate Templates?
Recurring services — Bi-weekly lawn cuts, monthly pool service, quarterly pest control. Save the standard service + price once, reuse it forever.
Standard packages — Your Basic / Pro / Premium tiers. Build the Options Estimate once, save as template, deploy on every new lead.
Common job types — Single-story house wash, two-car driveway clean, standard interior paint. Skip rebuilding the same line items.
New team members — Estimators don't have to memorize your default pricing or terms. They start from a template and edit.
How to Save an Estimate as a Template
Step 1: Build Your Estimate
Create your estimate the way you normally would — add services, set pricing, apply any discounts or taxes, attach terms and footers. (For a refresher, see How to Create & Send an Estimate.)
Step 2: Open Save Options
At the end of the estimate flow, the Save Options screen appears. Scroll down to the Templates section at the bottom.
Step 3: Tap "Save as Template"
A small dialog will pop up asking you to name the template.
Step 4: Name Your Template
Give it a name you'll recognize later. Examples:
Residential Paint — Standard
House Wash — Single Story
Lawn Care — Bi-Weekly Basic
3-Tier Pressure Wash Package
Tap Save.
Pick a name you'll stick with. Templates can't be edited or renamed once saved — if you need to change a template, delete it and save a new one with the updated details.
Step 5: Confirmation
You'll see a green "Saved as template" confirmation at the bottom of the screen. Your template is now stored and ready to use on any future estimate.
Saving as a template does not send the estimate to the customer. Nothing is texted, emailed, or attached to a customer record — the template is stored silently in the background.
How to Start a New Estimate From a Template
Step 1: Create a New Estimate
From your Dashboard, tap + Create Estimate. Add the customer, service address, and choose your estimate type.
Step 2: Tap "Start from Template"
Under the Choose Estimate Type section, you'll see a Start from Template button. Tap it.
Step 3: Choose Your Template
The Estimate Templates list slides up showing every template you've saved. Each one displays the number of services and the total price so you can find the right one at a glance:
Template Service — Standard Estimate · 1 service · $520.00
Deposit · 4 services · $1,560.00
Options Test · 3 services · $1,357.20
Tap the template you want to use.
Step 4: Edit and Send
The estimate populates with all the services, prices, and details from the template. From here you can adjust anything that needs to change — quantities, line items, pricing, photos, client messages — then send the estimate like normal.
How to Delete a Template
If you no longer need a template — or you need to replace it with an updated version — you can delete it from the Estimate Templates list.
Step 1: Open the Templates List
Start a new estimate and tap Start from Template to open the Estimate Templates list.
Step 2: Tap the Three-Dot Menu
Each template has a three-dot menu on the right side of the row. Tap it to open the options.
Step 3: Choose Delete
Select Delete. The template is removed immediately and won't appear in the list on future estimates.
Deleting a template can't be undone. It only removes the template itself — any past estimates that were created from it are unaffected.
