What Google Calendar Sync Does
Google Calendar sync connects a Google account to QuoteIQ so your scheduled jobs appear on your Google Calendar — and your own Google events appear inside the QuoteIQ calendar. It was rebuilt from the ground up in the September 2026 update.

How to Connect Google Calendar
Open the calendar and open its menu.
Choose the Google Calendar sync option and sign in to the Google account you want to use.
In the sync dialog, tick the job fields you want to appear on the Google side — customer name, address, services, notes, and so on. Only the fields you tick are sent.
Set the backfill window — how far back QuoteIQ should sync existing jobs.
Confirm. QuoteIQ shows a credit check first so you know what the initial sync will use, then starts syncing.
Google Calendar sync is set up and controlled from the account owner's side; each user has their own field preferences and an on/off switch for their sync.

Scheduled jobs land on the connected Google Calendar with a per-user color.
Synced jobs appear only on your team's calendars. Your customers don't receive calendar invites for their jobs.
Recurring jobs sync every occurrence, including reschedules, single-occurrence cancellations, and assignment changes.
Assigning or unassigning a team member on an existing job syncs.
Sync all is available in both calendar menus if you ever need to force a full re-sync.
Google → QuoteIQ
Your own Google events are overlaid on the QuoteIQ calendar — visible only to you, so a dentist appointment sits next to the roof inspection without your team seeing it.
Each Google event opens an editable event card with a satellite hero image, Navigate, Join / Directions / Open / Copy shortcuts, and Details / Guests / Notes tabs. You can edit or delete the Google event from inside QuoteIQ.
IQ Credits
The rebuilt sync is metered in IQ Credits for each event added to Google. Before the first sync, QuoteIQ runs a credit check and asks you to confirm. If your balance runs out, sync shuts off automatically until you add credits — nothing is charged past zero. IQ Credits are included with every plan, so for most businesses the sync is effectively invisible. See IQ Credits for balances and top-ups.
Fixes
Late September 2026: customers no longer receive Google Calendar invites for their jobs, and connecting Google Calendar from the web app works again.
Connecting from an iPhone or iPad completes Google sign-in instead of failing at the redirect — and the feature is reachable on mobile.
All-day events no longer land a day early in US time zones.
A saved edit no longer blanks the event card, and the time-picker clock is no longer clipped.

Does it sync both ways?

Can my team see my Google events?

My jobs aren't showing up on Google — what should I check?
Open the calendar menu and use Sync all to force a re-sync, confirm the sync switch is on for your user, and check your IQ Credit balance — sync pauses at zero. If it's still not syncing, contact support.
