How do I get to and manage tags for contacts?

Learn how to access and manage tags in Raise More to keep your contacts organized and outreach targeted

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Use Tags to quickly group contacts by specific needs or communication preferences. For example, if some contacts should only receive messages through Twilio, you can tag them with a label like “Twilio Only.” This ensures the right people receive messages through the correct platform and helps maintain a clean and organized contact list. Tags serve as quick identifiers, helping you sort and manage contacts accurately.

Once a tag is added, it’s easy to find and manage contacts. You can :

  • Filter available lists by tag

  • Target or exclude tagged contacts in a campaign

  • Use tags to build reports or dyanmic segments for future outreach

Using tags reduces potential errors, saves time, and keeps your communication strategy consistent and well-structured.

To access and manage Tags, click Tags in the left pane of your Raise More dashboard to open the main Tags page. Alternatively, hover the cursor over to Tags and click More. A list of the most recent tags can also be accessed from the same menu by clicking the tag name.

The Tags window displays all the contact lists to which a tag has been applied. At the top right of the screen, you'll find two blue buttons: Filter and Create. The Filter button helps you narrow down the view to specific tags, making it easier to find tagged contacts. The Create button lets you add a new tag.

Each tag is represented as a row, while columns show important information related to each tag including:

  • First added

  • Most recent

  • Tag (Tag name)

  • Contacts (the number of contacts that have been tagged)

  • Contacts (link to browse/add/remove contacts)

Managing tags in Raise More provides a flexible way to organize and segment contacts for better communication and tracking. By using tags effectively, teams can streamline workflows, target the right donors, and keep their contact lists well organized as campaigns grow.
