The email composer uses a drag-and-drop block editor (Unlayer). Images are added by inserting an image block and then uploading a file through the editor's built-in upload tool.
Add an image block
Open your email campaign and go to the Design tab of the body editor.
In the content panel on the right, locate the Image block.
Drag the Image block into your email layout where you want the image to appear.
Upload an image
Click the image block you just placed. An image settings panel opens.
Click the upload button or the image placeholder area inside the block.
Select the image file from your computer. The file uploads and appears in the block.
Supported workflow
You must use the in-editor upload button to add images. The editor does not accept images pasted from the clipboard or dragged directly from your desktop into the email body. If you try either of those methods, the campaign will fail to save and you will see this error:
> Failed to save this email campaign because the body contains images that failed to upload correctly. Please use the image upload button instead of pasting or dragging images directly.
Use the upload button in the block settings panel to avoid this error.
Image hosting
Images you upload through the editor are hosted by the editor's image service. You do not need to host images yourself or supply an external URL, though the block also accepts an image URL if you prefer to link to an image you host externally.
Plain text mode
If you switch the campaign body to Plain Text mode, image blocks are not available. Images only appear in the Design mode of the email body editor.
