You can link any two contacts together using the Related Contacts section on a contact's profile. The link is bidirectional: once created, each person appears in the other's Related Contacts list.
There is no relationship type or label field. The link records only that the two people are related. If you want to note the nature of the relationship (spouse, colleague, board member, etc.), add that detail in an interaction note or the contact's bio field.
Add a related contact
Open the profile of one of the two contacts.
Scroll to the Related Contacts section.
Click the circle-plus icon next to the section heading.
A search box appears. Type at least two characters of the other contact's name.
Select the correct contact from the dropdown.
The contact is linked immediately and appears in the Related Contacts list on both profiles.
Remove a related contact
Open either contact's profile.
In the Related Contacts section, find the linked contact.
Click the remove control (trash icon) that appears next to their name.
Removing the link from one profile removes it from both.
Notes
You can link a contact to more than one other contact.
Each contact must already exist in your database before you can link them. To add a new contact, create their record first.
Linking does not merge the two records. To combine duplicate records into one, use the merge feature instead.
