What is a Test?

Overview

Tests are created during the physical inspection of an Asset to record results.

Tests are saved to an Inspection, and used as the basis of Reports. A typical Inspection and Report will have dozens, if not hundreds, of individual tests.

When creating a Test (generally on the Mobile Inspection Application), inspectors will start with a Test Suite and Test Specification, and can then select a Space and Element. Depending on the configuration of the Test Suite, they'll then add a Test Result, Observations, Recommendations and Images, and additional information in Custom Fields.

Depending on the configuration of the Test Suite and the compulsory fields, Tests can be saved as Final, QA, Draft and Archive. Only Tests that are saved as Final can be included in a published Report.

Saved Tests are automatically uploaded to the secure cloud (or queued for upload if the inspector's mobile phone is currently offline) and available immediately to all Collaborators on an Inspection.
