How to update custom item prices

You can update prices directly within a quote template, either by editing a custom item's price manually or by recalculating provider items to pull in the latest price list values.

How to update custom item prices

Custom items are prices you've set up yourself — coordinated with your provider, or added as needed on the quote template.

  1. In the Agency Admin section, go to Quote Templates.

  2. Click the quote template you want to update.

  3. Click the custom item you want to update.

  4. On the side modal, under Edit Template Item, update the Price field, and click Update Quote Template Item to save.

You'll remain on the same page, and a confirmation message will appear in the upper right confirming the price was updated successfully.

How to update provider item prices

Provider items are prices set up by your provider in coordination with the Realhub support team.

  1. In the Agency Admin section, go to Quote Templates.

  2. Click the quote template you want to update.

  3. In the Tools section, click Recalculate Prices.

You'll remain on the same page, and the Tools section will refresh so prices match the latest values from the provider price list.

Troubleshooting & Edge Cases

  • Why isn't a quote template showing the updated price after a price list change? Changes to a price list item don't flow through to existing quote templates automatically. Open the template, remove the item, and add it again from the price list to pull in the current pricing.

  • Why isn't the template showing the updated price after a price list change? A percentage item calculates against the combined total of all other items on the quote, not a fixed base amount. Adding or removing items changes the total it's applied to.

  • Why did my product disappear after I clicked "Ignore and Approve"? This happens when a pricing warning is dismissed. If pricing is outdated and you choose Ignore and Approve, the item is removed from the quote. To keep the item, update its price or review it before approving.

  • Why hasn't the REA product price been updated? This can happen if the campaign dates don't match the updated pricing period, or if the price list isn't set up correctly. If the REA product shows $0, contact Realhub Support to check the price list setup.
