Please note: language translation is not automated. You must translate the text manually for each language option that you select.
Want visitors to have a choice of languages to use during check-in? You can set your account up so that your visitors can easily select which language they want to use during check-in on the Entry Screen.
Getting Started
After you log in to your custom Receptful URL, navigate to the Configurations page. Select the Configuration that you’d like to add translations to, then select Settings on the left menu. There, you will see the option to toggle on additional language options. The languages we currently support are:
English
Spanish
French (FR)
French (CA)
German
Chinese (Simplified)
Italian
Japanese
Adding Translations to Configurations & Documents
You can toggle between languages to customize them on the Entry Screen, Buttons, within the Configuration, and also on the Documents page.
Configurations
On the selected Configuration, click into the Entry screen. Select from the language dropdown on the top right of the screen. Then add your translations to the Screen Text and Button Text fields - remember to click Save to the right of these fields.
Next, select Buttons on the left menu. Your language from the Entry screen should still be selected, but you can verify this on the dropdown (especially if you’re adding more than one language at a time).
To change the instructional heading text on the main button screen, select Appearance.
Head back to the Buttons tab, then select a specific button to start with. First translate the Button Title (this is what appears on the iPad, the name is just for internal purposes). Then, click into each individual field to translate the Heading, Subheading, and Answer Placeholder text (if applicable).
Once you finish translating each visit field on the selected button, be sure to head to the Feature tab and translate the Thanks Screen text as well.
Rinse and repeat this process for each button in your selected configuration. Be sure to Publish your changes to this configuration once complete!
Documents
If you use Documents, navigate to the Documents page on the left main account menu. Select a specific document, then select the alternate language from the dropdown on the top right of the document and upload a translated PDF. To learn more about creating documents and adding fields to them, see this support article.
Checking In
Once you have enabled at least one additional language and input your translations, a button will appear on the bottom of your welcome screen, allowing your visitors to select between the languages you have chosen, as seen below. Be sure to do some test check-ins to ensure that no text was missed!
