Ingenico Lane 7000 Payment Terminal
Power on the device and wait for it to boot.
Once the boot-up is complete, enter 0001 into the keypad to load the administrative menu.
Select the third option, 3-WIFI Parameters, select your local wifi network and enter the password to connect the device to the internet.
Once the device is connected to the internet, it will display a screen with the device’s serial number and a registration code (it may be necessary to power cycle the device after the wifi connection is made before the below registration screen is displayed).
Now that the device is set up, connected to the internet, and ready for registration, pull up the Core site and go to Finances > Payment Gateways > Credit Card. That will display a page that lists your registered devices.
NOTE: If this page is not present on your Core site you will need to Bubble in and ask us to enable POI device usage for your association.
Click Register New Device, and in the modal pop-up enter the 6-character registration code currently being displayed on the unregistered device and also the name you would like to refer to the device by. Note that the name entered at this step will be displayed on the device screen, and will need to be entered by staff to send a transaction to the device. Then click Register Device.
If the device is registered successfully, the screen will stop displaying the registration code and begin displaying the name you submitted instead.
Once a device has been successfully registered, you can send transactions to it from any page in Core where it is possible to pay using a new credit card. The payment page will display a button for toggling between manual collection by keying in the card number, and device collection.
Sending a transaction to the device will block out the Core screen for staff and display a prompt on the device to present a payment card. Once the card has been presented and successfully read, the Core staff screen will update with the result of the payment attempt.
CAUTION!
Once a payment request is sent to the device, the payment collection process takes place between the device and the payment gateway and is not mediated by Core. Inserting and removing a card multiple times can result in multiple charges against the card with only a single charge being reflected in Core. Network connectivity issues/timeouts during the collection process can result in a charge against the card with no charge being reflected in Core.
