Restrictions/Parameters

Details the configuration parameters for facility access control

Below is a breakdown of the various restrictions/parameters we can configure the Pi devices to look at for access.

By Waiver – Member admittance can be restricted by waiver (either by the ID(s) or keyword) so that only members with the specified waiver can gain entry. This restriction can include one or multiple waivers. The waiver restriction is useful when restrictions are needed at the member lever, like 24-hour admittance or a restricted pool area. Required Info: Waiver ID and a message to be displayed upon check in failure.

By Addon – Member admittance can be restricted by addon. This restriction can include one or multiple addons. The addon restriction option is useful if admittance needs to be limited at the Unit level, like a service for which the addon represents. Required Info: Addon ID and a message to be displayed upon check in failure.

By Membership Type – Member admittance can be restricted by membership type. This restriction allows access to the specified area only if the member has the correct membership type. This restriction can be useful is limiting access areas that are more specific, like a senior’s area or even limiting an area to only staff (if there is a staff membership type). Required Info: Membership Type ID and a message to be displayed upon check in failure.

By Gender – Member admittance can be restricted to gender. This restriction allows access to be limited by the members’ gender. This can be helpful in the cases of locker rooms or gender-specific workout areas. Required Info: Allowed Gender and a message to be displayed upon check in failure.

By Minimum Age – Member admittance can be restricted by a minimum age. This restriction allows access to be limited to only those members who are older than the specified age. This restriction can be useful for limiting the access of children to areas of the facility. Required Info: Minimum Age and a message to be displayed upon check in failure.

By Maximum Age – Member admittance can be restricted by a maximum age. This restriction allows access to be limited to only those members under a certain age. This restriction can be used to limit access for age-specific sports areas. Required Info: Maximum Age and a message to be displayed upon check in failure.

By Time and Membership Type – Member admittance can be restricted by business hours and membership type. This restriction can be helpful for a door that is available to only members of a particular membership type but is not always staffed. Required Info: Business hours for all seven days of the week, the membership type ID, and a message to be displayed upon check in failure.

By Time by Waiver – Member admittance can be restricted by business hours to those members who have signed a particular waiver. This restriction can be helpful when the facility offers 24-hour access and is unstaffed therefore requiring members that are going to use the facility outside of business hours to sign a waiver. Required Info: Business hours for all seven days of the week, the Waiver ID(s) and a message to be displayed upon check in failure.

By Time, During or Outside Business Hours – Member admittance can be restricted to only the times during or outside of regular business hours. This restriction can be helpful if the facility is 24-hour but there may be a door that is not staffed or there is a door that is only accessible outside of regular business hours. Required Info: Business hours for all seven days of the week, whether the filter should restrict access during or outside of regular business hours and a message to be displayed upon check in failure.

By Bypass Waiver – Admittance filters can be bypassed by use of a staff wavier filter. This filter allows for staff that have been issued a particular waiver to bypass any other filter that might be in place. This option is useful in the cases where say staff need to gain entrance to an area that they would otherwise be barred from, like cleaning a locker room or childcare center. Required Info: Bypass waiver ID and a message to be displayed upon check in failure.
