Add Unit

Updated over 6 months ago

The first thing, before adding a unit is: not to add the unit. First, check if they have been a member or a participant so you don't duplicate them on the system. After you've checked, go to Members > Add Unit

Add Unit

The interface will change and you will see the same interface that a member would see when registering for a membership online (minus a few options they may not have). Below is the general order of events.

  1. Staff will first add the Primary member information for the account and then select Continue.

  2. On the next page, staff can add additional members to the account or continue to creating the membership by selecting the "Add a Membership" button. If you enter a member that exceeds the limitations of the membership type (either because of the age of a member or the number of members entered), the system will not let you continue until you change the membership type.

  3. The next page displays the membership types available. Staff can click on the desired membership type or on the green arrow to continue to the waivers page (if applicable).

  4. If there are no waivers for that membership, the next page is the addons page. Staff with the proper permissions can select multiple addons at a time. For example, a monthly locker rental or a monthly donation to a campaign.

  5. On the discounts page, staff with the proper permissions can add multiple discounts at a time (if applicable).

  6. The All Changes page displays the current Account Information for the membership. Any necessary billing, draft, and payment changes can be made here.

  7. Click on the icons to make changes for Billing Cycle (Monthly, Annually, etc), Draft Day (for Annual or long term membership you might want to select Today so that there is no prorated amount), and Termination Date (if applicable).

  8. Select Add Payment Method and enter the details. If you enter a credit card or a bank account, the account will be drafted the amount that is owed for the join fee and any proration and the recurring amount will be billed automatically.

  9. If the membership is not supposed to auto renew, you can select the checkbox to Auto Terminate this membership.

  10. Once you click complete, you will get a final summary of everything that is about to happen. You can read the information back to the member to make sure it's correct.
