YouTube Content ID is a fingerprinting system that identifies whenever your music is used anywhere on YouTube. To qualify for Content ID, your content should be:

- 100% original music with all sounds recorded by you or which you have an exclusive license to use (meaning no one else will use those sounds in their tracks)

- No beats, loops, or sound effects downloaded from sample libraries. This includes free sounds included with Logic, Pro Tools, GarageBand, etc.

- No samples from other songs, movies, TV shows, podcasts, video games, YouTube videos, etc.

- No public domain recordings or cover songs, remixes, or mashups.

- A track should not exceed 10 minutes.
