To be able to fully use the royalty splits function on a release, the release needs to be live with an active subscription. If you have set up royalty splits on a release, but then take down the release or cancel its subscription, you will no longer be able to edit the royalty splits.

Royalties will continue to be paid out for three months after the release is taken down or the subscription is cancelled. This is due to our royalty reporting delay, where we report royalties three months after they have been generated (you can read more about that here). Please keep in mind that the royalties will be paid out using the split settings that were active when the release was taken down or the subscription was cancelled.

If you are a split receiver and you've noticed that the status of the release you're participating in has changed, please reach out to the release manager. They should have all the information about how to get a release back online or reactivate a subscription.
