What are Filter Presets and why should I use them?
Filter presets make it easy to organize and manage your cold calling workflow. You'll use these filters to create your marketing campaigns. Instead of rebuilding filters each time, you can save presets to quickly identify records that need to be skip traced, are ready to call, or need a follow-up attempt.
This guide will show you how to create both Click to Call Cold Calling Presets and Bulk Cold Calling Presets.

Click to Call Cold Calling Presets
Click to Call is ideal if you’re manually dialing records inside REISift using smrtPhone, Aircall, Kixie or another click to call dialer or extension. This type of dialing is best for smaller niche or First to Market campaigns.
Create a Folder
From the Records page, select Filter Records then Create New Folder.
Name the folder 0. Cold Calling and save. You can number your folders to control the order.
Select this folder when saving your filters.
Build Your Presets
Select Add New Filter block and begin creating the following:
Needs Skipped
Filter for:
Any List (choose one or multiple lists you want to target).
Property Status → Do Not Include Any Status.
Call Attempts → Minimum and Maximum 0.
Params & Others → Skip Trace = No and Numbers = No.
Save as 0. Needs Skipped.
Use this filter preset to identify records that have never been skip traced and have no phone numbers.
Skip Traced No Numbers
Using the options from above, adjust the following:
Skip Trace = Yes, Numbers = No.
Save as 1. Skipped – No Numbers.
Use this to identify records that need to be skip traced through another source. After skip tracing, upload the phone number results to your account. Any records that now have phone numbers should appear in the next preset.
Ready to Call
Follow-Up Attempts
Create follow-up filters for records that need additional touches:
Attempt 1 → Call Attempts = Min & Max of 1 → Save as 3. Follow-Up 1.
Attempt 2 → Call Attempts = Min & Max of 2 → Save as 4. Follow-Up 2.
Attempt 3 → Call Attempts = Min & Max of 3 → Save as 5. Follow-Up 3.
Use these filters to see which records were not reached during the previous call attempt and need a follow-up attempt.
Calling & Updating
Open a record and call through each number listed.
Once all numbers are attempted, increment the Call Attempt count.
Update Phone Status (Wrong, Dead, Correct, DNC).
If you reach the owner, update Property Status (Not Interested, New Lead, Buyer, Listed, Sold).
Bulk Cold Calling Presets
Bulk calling is designed for multi-line dialers such as CallTools, ReadyMode, or smrtDialer. Instead of clicking to call one number at a time, you call multiple numbers at once. This type of cold calling is best for larger campaigns, or following up with Not Interested records.
Create a Folder
From the Records page, select Filter Records then Create New Folder.
Name the folder 1. Bulk Cold Calling and save. You can number your folders to control the order.
Select this folder when saving your filters.
Build Your Presets
Select Add New Filter block and begin creating the following:
Bulk Needs Skipped
Filter for:
Target List (High Equity) or any other criteria (List Stacking, Absentee owners, Vacant Property, etc.
Property Status → Do Not Include Any Status.
Call Attempts → Minimum and Maximum of 0.
Params & Others → Skip Trace = No and Numbers = No.
Save as 0. Bulk Needs Skipped.
Use this filter preset to identify records that have never been skip traced and have no phone numbers.
Bulk Skipped, No Numbers
Using the options from above, adjust the following:
Skip Trace = Yes, Numbers = No.
Save as 1. Bulk Skipped NN.
Use this to identify records that need to be skip traced through another source. After skip tracing, upload the phone number results to your account. Any records that now have phone numbers should appear in the next preset.
Bulk Ready to Call
Bulk Follow-Up Calls
Filter for:
Property Status → Do Not Include Any Status.
Call Attempts = Minimum of 1 and Maximum for the total number of times you want to follow up. When bulk dialing we recommend between 6-10 attempts.
Save as 3. Bulk Call Follow-Up.
Use this filter to see who you didn't reach in the previous attempt, and send them back to the dialer through integrations or by exporting and uploading. Don't forget to increment your call attempts each time you send or export to the dialer.
Sending to the Dialer
Select records from the Ready to Call or Follow-Up presets.
Send to your dialer by selecting the records and going to Send to -> Integrations or export if using an outside dialer.
After the transfer or export completes:
End of Campaign Options
Once you’ve completed all follow up attempts, you can filter for those records that still have no property statuses and with a Call Attempt equal to the total number of calls made. Then, based on the amount of records:
Re-skip trace in another location and try calling for a few more attempts.
Switch to a different channel (SMS, Direct Mail).
Deep prospect for hard-to-reach owners.
