The name on your application should match the name on your government-issued ID. Here's how to handle the common cases.
If you have a middle name
Enter your middle name as it appears on your ID. If you have multiple middle names, enter them all in the middle name field.
If you don't have a middle name
Check the option that says you have no middle name. The middle name field will become optional.
If you have a suffix
Pick your suffix from the dropdown β Jr., Sr., II, III, IV, etc. If you don't have one, leave it as the default.
If your name has special characters
Enter your name with the characters as they appear on your ID β including hyphens (-), apostrophes ('), and accent marks (Γ©, Γ±, etc.).
If your legal name is different from what you go by
Always use the legal name on your government-issued ID. The screening checks rely on the official record, so a nickname or preferred name won't match.
