If your application includes a pet section, here's how to add each pet you'll be bringing to the property.
Who can add pets
Only the primary applicant can add pets. If you're applying as a cosigner or occupant, you won't see this section — the primary applicant on the lease handles it.
What you'll add for each pet
Name
Species — Dog, Cat, or Other
Breed
Adult weight in pounds
A photo of your pet
Service or support animal toggle (if applicable)
The photo is required
You'll need a photo for each pet. A clear, recent photo where you can see the pet is fine — no studio portrait needed.
Adding more than one pet
You can add as many pets as you have. After saving one, tap to add another.
Pet restrictions and fees
Rent Butter doesn't set pet restrictions or pet fees — those come from the property manager. Check with them or the property listing for any breed, size, or species restrictions.
