Once you submit your application, you can track its progress in two places.
On the confirmation page
The "Your Application Is Submitted" page shows a 3-step progress bar:
Submitted — your application is in
Under Review — the leasing team is reviewing it (typically 1–3 business days)
Approval — the leasing team will issue a decision
From the property manager
The property manager will reach out with a decision or any follow-up questions. We typically see decisions within about 3 business days, but the property manager controls the timing and it can vary. For specific status updates or timeline questions, contact them directly — their contact info is usually on their website.
Rent Butter doesn't manage the review itself, so we can't speed it up or provide updates beyond what the property manager has told us.
