Overview
Prescreening is how RentEngine protects you from unqualified leads and scammers. This guide will show you how to view why a prescreening was rejected and how to override that decision.
Check the rejection reason
To see why a prescreening was rejected:
Navigate to the Command Center and find the prospect
Find the Prescreen Rejected leasing event (in light blue)
Click the Review Prescreen button and see the submitted answers
Click "View ID Photos" to see their submitted ID (and selfie)
The leasing event (light blue) will also highlight the reason why it was rejected, such as:
Self-reported income
Self-reported credit
ID verification (their submitted ID and selfie were not a match or flagged as potentially fraudulent)
Self-answered question (their answers to one or more of your custom questions were rejected based on your prescreening logic)

And if you feel comfortable accepting them based on their submitted prescreening, you can click the "Approve Prescreen" button. That will send them a link to confirm their showing time, without submitting a new pre-screening.
