Overview
Self-guided showings allow prospects to see properties on their own schedule and lead to the highest conversion rates. This guide will show you how to set them up.
Before you start
Transfer all your digital lockboxes to RentEngine
How to set up a property for self-guided showings
Navigate to the Properties tab
Click Take Action > Edit Property
Click Next to reach Step 2 (Showings)
Select Self-guided as the showing method
Optional: assign the property to a subteam
Select the appropriate Key Security option
Digital lockbox: if you use digital locks or lockboxes connected to RentEngine
Single code lockbox: if you use lockboxes with a static code (like combo locks)
Digital doorlock: if you use locks with a static pin code
If using a digital lockbox, select the serial number from the dropdown and press "Assign Lockbox"
Add additional instruction for where the prospect can find the lockbox, any gate instructions or community access codes
Based on all your settings, review the upcoming availability in the Showing Availability section
Green indicates that time slot is available for showings
Red indicates that time slot is not available for showings
The dots indicate the number of reasons why that time slot is not available. Hover over the time slot to see an explanation
Press "Next" to save and finish updating the property
