Overview

Snippets are reusable pieces of text that you can create once and deploy in RentEngine AI responses and manual messaging. Use snippets to standardize answers, maintain brand voice, and save time when responding to common questions.

Snippets help RentEngine AI give consistent information and give your team convenient pre-written responses for frequent scenarios.

Where to find snippets

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Select Communication

  3. Open Snippets

This is the central place to create, edit, or manage all your snippet content.

How snippets work

Snippets allow you to define reusable messages for company policies and common questions.

Snippets are portfolio-level and should not include property-specific data.

Create a new snippet

  1. Open SettingsCommunicationSnippets

  2. Click New snippet

  3. Give it a Title in the form of a question

  4. Enter the Body in the form of a respond to that question

  5. Click Save

Forming your snippet as a question/answer makes it easier for the AI to digest and increases performance.

Suggested Snippets

  • Do you accept co-signers or guarantors?

  • Can you do a virtual or video tour?

  • Is the rent negotiable?

  • Is it a 12-month lease or can you do short-term?

  • What is a resident benefit package?

  • Who do I call for maintenance?

  • Can I sign at least longer than 12 months?

  • Who has to fill out an application?

  • How do I pay the rent and which methods do you accept?

  • Is the move-in cost prorated?

Use snippets with RentEngine AI

RentEngine AI automatically draws on snippets when generating responses:

  • If a prospect asks a question related to a snippet’s topic, AI includes that content

  • Snippets give AI context-specific guidance to stay accurate and on-brand

  • Use snippets to reinforce leasing policies you want RentEngine AI to communicate

Use snippets in manual messages

You can also insert snippets manually when replying:

  1. Start a reply in the Command Center

  2. Press the "/" key

  3. Search for the snippet you want

  4. Insert it into your message

This speeds up replies without sacrificing detail or consistency.
