How to start
There are two ways to begin:
From an invite: if your landlord or letting agent uses Rentmigo, they'll send you a link to start your application.
On our website: you can sign up yourself at rentmigo.co.uk. If your landlord isn't using Rentmigo yet, you can invite them and we'll help get them set up.
The steps
1. Create your account and add the property details, including your monthly rent.
2. Verify your identity with photos of your original ID and a quick selfie. The check is carried out securely by Plaid, which is certified to ISO 27001 for information security. Photos of an ID on a screen, scans and photocopies can't be used.
3. Show how you'll pay your rent. Connect your bank through open banking, or upload your documents. You can use income, savings, family support, or a mix.
4. Submit. We'll review your application, usually within 24 to 48 hours once we have everything we need.
5. Pay and sign. Once approved, you pay your one-off fee. When all tenants have paid, the Rent Guarantee Agreement is sent out automatically for everyone to sign, and your guarantee certificate is issued.
