What does the guarantee include?

What a Rentmigo guarantee includes for landlords, the limits that apply, and what isn't included.

Written by Joe Wigoder

A Rentmigo guarantee pays you if your tenant doesn't pay their rent.

What's included

  • Up to 12 months of unpaid rent

  • For 3 years from the start date of the Rent Guarantee Agreement

  • Up to £100,000 in total across the guarantee, including legal costs

  • Monthly rent of up to approximately £8,000, and sometimes more

  • Full management of recovery, including possession proceedings and legal costs

Rent increases

Rent increases are included as long as the total increase is no more than 10% above the rent at the start of the guarantee.

An example

If the rent is £2,000 a month and the tenant stops paying, Rentmigo can pay up to 12 months of arrears, which is £24,000.

What isn't included

  • Damage to the property

  • Utility bills

  • Council tax

  • Any costs not related to rent

These are usually handled through the tenancy deposit and your normal processes.

Where to check the details

The specific details for each tenant are on their guarantee certificate in your dashboard.
