Overview
Digital gift cards make gifting effortless for patients and non-patients, whether they’re buying through your app or from your branded webpage.
Understanding how your patients buy gift cards helps your team confidently promote, support, and troubleshoot gift card activity. When staff know the flow, they can better explain it to patients, anticipate questions, and use it to drive more sales.
Why This Matters
Understanding how patients buy and send gift cards helps your team guide conversations with confidence. When staff know exactly what the buyer experiences, from choosing designs to scheduling delivery, they can answer questions quickly, set clear expectations, and resolve issues without friction.
It also helps your team spot upsell opportunities, reinforce promotions, and ensure every patient interaction feels seamless and professional. In short, knowing the flow means you can support it better, and sell it more effectively.

Sharing Gift Card Links (Give Someone a Hint)
Sometimes patients want to receive a gift instead of buying one. With Give Someone a Hint, they can:
Go to the Gift Card tab in the app.
Tap the share link icon on the top right
Send it to friends or family via text.
Recipient clicks the link and is taken directly to the practice’s branded checkout page and fills in their information automatically.
This feature is great for birthdays, anniversaries, or holidays, making it easy for patients to drop a “hint” for the perfect gift.
Accessing and Tracking Gift Cards
Understanding how patients view and manage their gift cards helps your team guide them confidently if they have questions about delivery, redemption, or balances.
Senders can view their purchased gift cards under My Purchases in the app. Each listing displays:
Amount – total value of the card.
Recipient – who the card was sent to.
Status – whether it’s Claimed or Not Yet Used.
Nudge Option – an automatic reminder that prompts recipients to claim their gift card if they haven’t yet.
Recipients receive their gift card instantly via text. When they tap the link:
The card is redeemed directly as RepeatCash in their Wallet.
Their balance updates automatically as they make purchases.
They can view remaining value and history anytime in the app.
